Being a credit union member has many benefits. The credit union’s Mortgage Center is another benefit available to you. In 1990 our founding owner credit unions joined hands to create a full service mortgage company exclusively for credit union members. Providing a full array of mortgage products and keeping the mortgage throughout the life of the loan was the main focus of our founding owners. Mortgage Center LLC is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) that is completely owned by Credit Unions for the benefit of Credit Union members. The Management committee is comprised of six Credit Union Chief Executive Officers. Because of the early success of this mortgage CUSO this benefit is available to other credit unions’ and their members. Today Mortgage Center currently serves over seventy additional credit unions. Mortgage Center provides a complete array of first mortgage products. The entire loan process is designed so that it can be accomplished efficiently and conveniently over the phone or on-line. After the transaction is closed, payments may be made through electronic funds transfer from your credit union account, mailed directly to Mortgage Centers' Southfield, Michigan office or you may pay your mortgage payment over the telephone for a small fee.
